Welcome to our Tweet of the Week, where we spotlight insightful and thought-provoking tweets from the world of adtech. Every Friday, we’ll bring you a standout tweet that captures important trends, shares valuable data, or offers unique perspectives on the always-evolving adtech landscape.
This week, we turn our spotlight to Chris Vanderhook, Co-founder and COO of DSP Viant, who shared his candid thoughts on Megan Clarken’s retirement as CEO of Criteo. Vanderhook suggests the departure is well-timed as “most of the business is still retargeting.” He has other thoughts to share and doesn’t hold back on what the decision could mean for the company.

Earlier this week, Criteo announced Clarken will retire within the next 12 months. The company, to Vanderhook’s point, has been working to reinvent itself as a leader in the booming retail and commerce media business. And it appears to be working. Criteo’s retail and commerce media revenue grew 24% year over year, according to the company’s latest earnings report.
